In the city of New Metrana, the City of Crime, life as an ordinary person is insufferable, while those with luxury keep them down.

Thảo Đặng is a single mother of her adopted son, Ahar Madan. Living in New Metrana in 2078 is a challenge for survival with no room for thriving, and those with luxury and power keep them through the oppression of ordinary people like them. Only the most privileged will say that New Metrana is the golden city. However, underneath her meek persona lies a furious alternate-universe version of her that resides within her mind. Playing a merciful hero is hard when criminals like to get under her skin.

(This is just a small piece of writing I want to put up as a way to pitch my idea out there. This is potentially not where the story begins when I actually work on this and everything everything will be fleshed out better. There is no cover art yet.)
